The Freedom Sound Project believes listening to music is as vital to children’s intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development as reading, and that delivering recorded music to children is far easier and less expensive than providing books. Our inspirations are the Alive Inside Foundation; the Black Panther Party’s Free Breakfast Program for School Children; and music educator LaRue Brown Watson, founder of the Clifford Brown Jazz Foundation.
